summer vaca is the best time for sally to visit the barn. grammy takes her in the morning and/or evening. today is a very special day - she got a new english hunter undersaddle for her birthday! so special a day that even i made my way out there.
j & ju LOVE the barn, not just for the horses but for the dirt! they get filthy and love it. before grammy moved out here i took am most of the time, i would make the twins sit in the car and read, sleep or watch a movie. that is about the same time i started saying (yelling) my van is NOT a jungle gym. now that they are a older they have learned a little 'ranch etiquette' and have more freedom - usually because grammy takes them.
i love this horse Sarah. She was raised for breeding and handled terribly. she was so spooky and shy when she first came to the ranch but has made so much progress with her owners, trainers, and everyone else loving on her. used to hide back in her stall when we came around but she isn't afraid anymore, (ju looks like she is)!
